Our Story
The Everest Club draws its name from the awe-inspiring Mount Everest, the tallest peak in the world. 8848 is the height of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. People worldwide spare no effort to reach the highest mountain; "8848" seems a common challenge for all humankind without separation and classification. Like our club, 8848 is not just an expectation for someone or something to achieve perfection but a joint effort and climb by everyone, including founders, coaches, students, and more.
8848 also has a symbolic meaning here, representing that we go beyond our comfort zone, go beyond our limits, and be fearless. Since the discovery of Mount Everest in 1853, people worldwide have been challenged to reach the summit. Countless times, climbing can not reach the summit, but the more frustrated we are, the more we admire and hope to learn their perseverance, courage, and spirit.
The name "Everest" symbolizes our pursuit of excellence, the drive to push boundaries, and the commitment to reach new summits of skill and achievement in the exhilarating world of snowboarding. Just as Everest stands as a pinnacle of human endeavor, so too does our club embody the spirit of adventure, determination, and the relentless pursuit of greatness on the snow-covered mountainsides of Beijing, China.
